FDA Warning: Prescription Drugs Detected in Arthritis Supplements

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to consumers on April 20, 2022 not to use the following products:

  • Artri Ajo King
  • Artri King
  • Ortiga Mas Ajo Rey
  • Ortiga Mas Ajo Rey Extra Forte

Through analysis, it was determined that these products contained the following prescription drugs not listed on the label:

  • Dexamethasone (a corticosteroid)
  • Diclofenac sodium (an NSAID)
  • Methocarbamol (a muscle relaxer)

If you have been taking any of these products, please contact your physician prior to stopping. Suddenly stopping a corticosteroid after taking for a long time can result in a serious withdrawal symptoms.
